How can I calibrate my bike trainer?

    If not access to the software, it is in some cases possible to do it the hard way.
    By openig the trainer and adjusting the distance of the resistance magnet to the flywheel.

    This will only work if the watt is an output based on the posistion of the adjustment engine or screw.
    If the watts is measured from the actual effort on the pedals or other, it is no point adjusting the magnet.

    In my spinning bike it was just to adjust the tension of a wire. 
    I moved the magnet so it now is relativly closer to the flywheel.
    It then got quite at bit more realistic.
    I now have to work much harder for each watt reported from the trainer :-)

    The adjustment of power profile might not come out as a linear adjustment. 
    The heavyer part where the magnet is closest to the wheel is most affected by such hardware adjustment, so you have to do some testing and find the compromize that gives the most realistic overall result.
