If your activity does not start on Kinomap, several causes may be possible. Follow the steps below to identify the source of the problem.
I am stuck on "Start pedaling / rowing / running"
Before anything else, make sure your equipment is properly connected and transmitting data to Kinomap.
Open the Settings menu, then Equipment Management
Tap the Gear icon of your equipment
Check that the status is "Connected"
Start pedaling, rowing, or running, then verify that values appear in the equipment menu.
You should see data such as:
speed or power, or both (required)
cadence
heart rate (if a compatible sensor is connected)
👉 If your equipment is shown as "Connected" and values are displayed, the connection is working correctly.
👉 If no values appear or if the status remains stuck on "Connecting...", please consult our dedicated article:
I have a connection problem
The video pauses and asks me to reduce the quality
If a message invites you to switch to a lower video quality, this generally indicates a buffering issue related to your internet connection.
In this case, it may be necessary to restart your internet router/modem and/or try another internet connection if possible (hotspot, 5G, etc.).
If this does not work, we recommend downloading the video before starting your activity.
