If your equipment does not connect properly to Kinomap, several situations may occur.
👉 The messages displayed in the application generally help identify the source of the problem.
No equipment is detected
If the app displays ‘No device has been detected’, the problem is usually related to Bluetooth.
Bluetooth checks to perform
Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet
Make sure Bluetooth is properly enabled on the device used with Kinomap.
Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your equipment
Some equipment requires manual Bluetooth activation.
👉 Check directly on:
your equipment screen
your device settings
the manufacturer’s manual
Check that your equipment is not already connected elsewhere
Your equipment must not be:
connected directly in the Bluetooth settings of your smartphone/tablet
used by another application
connected to another phone, another tablet, or a Smart TV
⚠️ Important
the connection must be made directly from the Kinomap application
location access must be granted to Kinomap. This element is essential for Bluetooth scanning
My equipment remains stuck on “Connecting…”
In this case, the application cannot establish the connection between your device and your equipment.
👉 No data exchange is possible, so Kinomap cannot retrieve your values.
No data is transmitted
Your equipment is correctly detected by the application, but no data is transmitted:
speed
cadence
power
heart rate
This generally means that the wrong protocol or the wrong model has been selected.
Checks to perform in both cases
Check the model selected in Kinomap
Make sure you have not selected the wrong model in the application.
👉 You must select the exact correct model from the proposed list.
Check the selected Bluetooth device
Make sure you selected the correct Bluetooth device.
Sometimes users select:
their Apple Watch
audio headphones
a television
or another Bluetooth device
…instead of their fitness equipment.
Do you see several Bluetooth devices?
If several devices appear and you do not know which one to select:
Turn off your fitness equipment
Check which Bluetooth device disappears from the list
Turn your equipment back on
Select the device that reappears
👉 The device that disappears is generally your sports equipment.
Test your equipment with another application
If your equipment is compatible with another Bluetooth application:
try connecting it there
check whether data is correctly received
This helps confirm whether the issue comes:
from the equipment
or from the connection with Kinomap
Try with another smartphone or tablet
If possible, test your equipment on Kinomap with another device.
👉 This can help identify a problem specific to your phone or tablet.
Correct behavior: my equipment is connected and provides data
When the connection works correctly:
your equipment appears as “Connected”
values are displayed in real time in the application
You should see data such as:
speed
cadence (RPM)
power (Watts)
heart rate (if a compatible sensor is connected)
👉 If the values are displayed correctly, this means your equipment is communicating properly with Kinomap.
Does the problem persist?
If none of the above solutions work, contact our support team at support@kinomap.net with as much information as possible.
Please send:
the exact model of your equipment
the model of your smartphone/tablet
screenshots of the issue
a detailed description of the observed behavior
👉 Screenshots are very important to help us quickly identify the issue.
