During your session on Kinomap, several real-time data points are displayed on-screen to help you track your performance. This information is essential for analyzing your effort and optimizing your training.
On-screen elements during an activity:
Left side of the screen:
-
Power (Watts): Indicates your real-time effort.
-
Speed: Shown in KPH (Kilometers per hour), MPH (Miles per hour), or your pace (configurable in Training Settings).
Next to the speed, you'll also see the total distance covered since the start of the session. -
Current gradient: Shows the incline of the route at the current moment.
-
Calories burned: An estimate of energy expenditure.
-
Heart rate (BPM): Displayed if a compatible heart rate sensor is connected or if your equipment includes one.
-
Cadence (SPM or RPM): Indicates your movement rhythm.
Center of the screen:
-
A progress bar shows how far along you are in the session. You’ll also see:
-
Remaining time or distance, depending on your chosen mode
-
A timer showing elapsed time
-
A settings icon (⚙️) to adjust preferences
-
A pause button to pause, save, or quit the activity
-
Right side of the screen:
-
Map display: Switch to a satellite view of the route.
-
Resistance indicator:
-
For non-interactive equipment, this shows the current resistance.
-
For interactive equipment, you’ll see a difficulty scale with “+” and “–” buttons to adjust resistance or incline.
-
-
Gradient preview: A countdown shows when the next gradient change will occur and what the upcoming incline will be (e.g., “+2.0% in 24 seconds”).
-
Elevation profile: Toggle on/off to display the elevation curve of the route.
💡 Good to know:
-
The display may slightly vary depending on the activity type (bike, rower, treadmill, etc.) and the sensors connected.
-
Some data (like heart rate or cadence) require external sensors to be connected in order to appear.
-
For interactive equipment, you’ll have “+” and “–” buttons to manually adjust resistance.
-
In Variable Speed Mode, a leaderboard will appear on the left side of the screen, showing the performances of users who have previously completed the video. You can find more information at this link: Who are the other users in the ranking?
