The Discovery and Challenge modes have been renamed Original Speed and Variable Speed modes.
When you start an activity, you can choose between two modes:
Original speed: the video plays at its original speed, regardless of your own speed. The video is paused when your speed reaches 0 km/h. You can, however, assess your performance by consulting your power output. Please note that exports to third-party platforms are limited to time, distance, watts, and additional data such as cadence, heart rate, not GPS coordinates or map.
Variable speed: the video advances at your own speed, allowing you to make the same effort as the content creator. If you're not fast enough, the playback speed slowly decreases. On the other hand, if you're faster than the content creator, the playback speed increases to twice the original speed. Use this mode when you want to compete and export your results to platforms such as Strava, for example, with full export of the GPS coordinates of your virtual route (time, distance, elevation gain, and GPS tracks).
