The video starts as soon as it receives the equipment values. If you are stuck with the message 'Start pedaling/rowing/running', this means that we are not receiving any values from the equipment.
To ensure that the equipment is correctly paired and providing accurate data, please follow the procedure below:
Go to the 'Settings' menu, then press 'Equipment management'.
Press the small gear indicated on your equipment.
Check connection status (you should see 'Connected'). Make sure you see values when you start training.
If you encounter this problem, please send us a screenshot of this menu to support@kinomap.com.
There are several possible scenarios:
1- Your equipment remains stuck on 'Connexion...':
This means that we can't even pair them up, and therefore won't be able to obtain any values.
-
Make sure you haven't made a mistake in the model you've selected in the application. Two bikes of the same brand don't always use the same protocol, so you need to choose the right model from the list.
-
Make sure you've selected the right Bluetooth device (Tests - Kinomap mock bike in the example). It sometimes happens that users select their Apple Watch, headset, TV or other Bluetooth device, but not their equipment.
If you detect several Bluetooth devices and you're not sure which one to select, simply switch off your fitness device: the Bluetooth ID that has disappeared is your fitness device. Switch it back on and select it.
It may be worth testing with :
-
another Bluetooth-enabled application compatible with your equipment
-
another smartphone or tablet
2. Your equipment appears as 'Connected' but provides no data:
-
Make sure you haven't made a mistake in the model you've selected in the application. Two bikes from the same company don't always use the same protocol, so you need to choose the right model from the list.

-
If your device is compatible with another Bluetooth application, try it out and check the values you receive.
3. Your equipment appears as 'Connected' and sends us certain values:
Depending on the type of equipment, certain values are mandatory, such as power for bicycles. If this is the case, please send us a screenshot as requested in the process.
Note: Depending on your case, you may want to send us a screenshot of what you see in this equipment menu, as well as any other tests (other applications and/or other devices) you've run at support@kinomap.com or in response to your existing support ticket if you've already created one.

Kinomap does not pick up cadence from my Garmin candence sensor. The sensor has a new battery! The App is on my new Ipad with blue tooth. I try to connect the sensor when I am pedaling too! The cadence sensor is not found!!!
Come one; please fix this. I am paying for your App!
I have something similar to you all.
I have a DKN Airun - XB treadmill. All was working well with the treadmill and my 8th gen iPad connecting etc to Kinomap.
One day the iPad connected to the treadmill as normal by dropping out the main screen on the treadmill showing that Bluetooth had comnected. However when trying to start the workout, the machine remains in the connecting phase.
Ironically on Android devices everything still works as normal 🤔. Very frustrating and I can't decide if it's something Kinomap have done on their update or if Apple have adjusted something with Bluetooth settings on their latest iOS update.
Very frustrating! Does anyone else have this issue with Android devices working and iOS not working? Thanks
I'm having trouble starting Kinomap videos. I get the "Start pedaling" message, just like many others here. My equipment (Tacx Neo 2T) connects via Bluetooth on my Samsung S23 and shows as "Connected" in Kinomap's equipment management. However, no data is transmitted to the app, so the video won't start.
Like some users mentioned, my trainer works perfectly with other Bluetooth apps and displays data correctly there. This leads me to believe the issue lies within Kinomap's interaction with my specific trainer model, despite it being listed as compatible. I've tried restarting everything, re-pairing, and checking for other Bluetooth devices interfering, but no luck. Is there a known issue with the Tacx Neo 2T and Kinomap, or perhaps a specific setting I should check? Any help would be much appreciated.
