Cadence, power, and heart rate sensors can be added as either additional or primary sensors for users who have a subscription or benefit from Decathlon Benefits.
Please note that not all sensors are compatible with every type of equipment.
Here are the compatible sensors according to the equipment type:
Note regarding Garmin watches: Only Garmin watches equipped with the Broadcast Heart Rate feature or the Virtual Run feature can be connected to the Kinomap app. Models that do not support either of these features cannot be connected to the application.
Additional Sensor
The following sensors are compatible as additional sensors depending on the type of equipment:
Home trainer: cadence, power, and heart rate
Exercise bike: cadence, power, and heart rate
Treadmill: heart rate and foot pod
Elliptical trainer: heart rate
Rowing machine: heart rate
First, go to the My Profile menu, then tap the Settings button in the top-right corner.
Then select Equipment management.
Then tap the gear icon displayed on your equipment.
Then press Add a sensor.
Once your sensor has been detected, you can select it and press Next.
You can now view your sensor in your equipment profile and check that it is receiving data.
Primary Sensor
Depending on the type of equipment, some sensors can also be used as primary sensors, effectively replacing the equipment itself.
Indoor trainer: cadence, power, or speed sensor
Exercise bike: cadence, power, or speed sensor
Treadmill: foot pod
First, go to the My Profile menu, then tap the Settings button in the top-right corner:
Then select Equipment management.
Now, tap the Plus (+) button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
Select the type of equipment you would like to use, then choose the Sensor brand.
All that’s left is to select the correct type of sensor in order to pair it as the primary sensor.
That’s it! You now know how to pair your sensors on the Kinomap app.
