With Kinomap, you can improve your training by displaying your training video on a larger screen. In this article, we'll look at different ways of displaying Kinomap on a larger screen while you carry out your training session.
If you have :
- A (non-Smart) TV: please go to Having Kinomap on a (non-Smart) TV
- A Smart TV: please go to Having Kinomap on a Smart TV
- A dedicated Chromecast device: please go to Use a ChromeCast device (Airplay / Chromecast keys / Google Chromecast)
Have Kinomap on a (non-Smart) TV:
First, go to your app, on your smartphone (or tablet), and go to the "Profile" menu then press the "Settings" button :
Then click on "Remote display":
On your smartphone, choose the method of your choice: scanning the QR code or filling in the code. (In this example, we'll use the QR code scan). Go to https://remote.kinomap.com (on your computer).
As soon as the scan is complete, a notification will appear on your application and on the website. This will tell you that your computer has been correctly "paired" with your smartphone.
At this stage, you can link your computer to your television with an HDMI cable to enjoy an even bigger screen for your training session.
Then choose the video you want for your workout. As soon as you click "Start", your browser will automatically launch the video.
If the message "Please interact with your screen to continue" appears on your smartphone, this means that you need to click on the "Play" button on your computer screen.
You will find the information relating to your training on the screen of your smartphone (or tablet).
Kinomap on a Smart TV :
- Integrated applications
We have recently developed two lighter versions of Kinomap which are now available on your Smart TV's PlayStore and AppStore.
To find out more, go to the dedicated articles: How do I use Kinomap on a Smart TV? and How do I use Kinomap on Apple TV?
- Mirroring option (remote display):
If you have a Smart TV, it can connect to your WiFi network. Then, when your smartphone (or tablet) is connected to the same wifi network as your TV, mirroring can be carried out. This operation depends on the model of your smartphone (or tablet) and/or your TV. In most cases, information such as "caster / remote display / mirroring" will be displayed on your smartphone when your TV and smartphone are connected to the same device. If you need more information, you can read this article to find out more. Note that there is no button built into the application, so you'll have to use the functions on your smartphone (or tablet).
Once your TV and smartphone are paired, you can start your training session. Mirroring (or remote display) will take over to display the content of your smartphone (or tablet) on your TV, so you can carry out your training session.
- Web browser on your Smart TV:
Go to the web browser on your Smart TV and enter the address that will enable you to view the content remotely: Kinomap Screen. The next steps are the same as those described in the previous paragraph (scan the QR code and start your training session).
Use a ChromeCast device (Airplay / Chromecast keys / Google Chromecast)
A ChromeCast device will allow you to project the screen of your smartphone (or tablet). Each Chromecast device is different, but the way it works is exactly the same. Connect your ChromeCast device to your wifi network. Then follow the instructions on your device to display the screen on your TV.
If you have a Google Chromecast : Set up your Chromecast device (3rd gen or older)
If you own an Apple TV : Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone or iPad

I get message saying " this code does not belong to a registered screen" when I scan QR or enter digital code. what next?
I am at the end of my 14 day trial...after which will be deciding if I stay with you or go to a different app for my workout. please respond to above thread.
Hi Kinomap,
please fix responsive display of pairing code below QR code.
I have an Android TABS6 and while the QRCode is visible the actual digits are not visible in either tablet orientation nor can we scroll to it.
Thank you
The new design of the remote screen is terrible - please allow people to see the distance to the next segment, stage progress, position relative to other riders etc. again (you can make those configurable for people really not wanting to see this on the large remote screen).
I have a large monitor connected to my pc and am using an Android 11 tablet for rowing. The remote display connects and I am prompted to click the start button, which I do. All the data is showing but the video never starts. This has happened twice in the last two days. Thanks for any help with this.
