Hi Ben, thanks for asking. the Hero 8 has an amazing stabilization system so no need for a gimbal on top. the GoPro Max makes miracle but quite expensive. So Hero 8 is good enough. looking forward.

I have tried the app and am hooked, it is great to do the various workouts and videos others have uploaded. The best bit for me is recording the rides I love in the spring / summer and using them for training in the winter.

    Best app I have used

I would like to record walking tracks. Do I need a gimball-stabilized camera? When using just a gopro it will be rather wobbly I suppose?

    Hello Ben,

It depends on the GoPro that you have.
I recorded videos with a strap on my head + GoPro 7 with great results.

    Best regards,
    Cedric.

Thanks for the tip! - The Max is very nice indeed. And with GPMD2CSV I can even extract accurate GPS-Data. Nice!
Now I am just trying to find out about lighting, contrast and inevitable people passing through I have to anonymise...

How do you handle clips with blurred-out persons? Is that acceptable? - I have to according to the law and it is nearly impossible to get a "model release" while walking in the other direction of someone....

    Cheers
    Ben
