The video starts as soon as it receives data from the equipment. If you're stuck with the message 'Start pedaling/rowing/running', it means we're not receiving any data from the equipment.
To ensure your equipment is properly paired and providing accurate data, please follow the procedure below.
First, go to the 'Profile' menu, then 'Settings', and select 'Equipment Management':
Press the gear:
Check the connection status: you should see the indication 'Connected'. Make sure you see values displayed when you start your workout:
If you encounter this issue, please send us a screenshot of this menu to support@kinomap.com.
Several scenarios may occur:
1. Your equipment remains stuck on 'Connecting...': This means we cannot even pair your device with your equipment, and therefore we cannot receive any values.
2. Your equipment shows as 'Connected' but does not provide any data.
In both cases:
-
Make sure you have selected the correct model in the application. Two bikes from the same brand may not always use the same protocol, so you need to choose the correct model from the list.
-
Ensure that you have selected the correct Bluetooth device. Sometimes users inadvertently select their Apple Watch, headphones, TV, or other Bluetooth devices instead of their fitness equipment.
-
If you detect multiple Bluetooth devices and are unsure which one to select, turn off your fitness device: the Bluetooth ID that disappears is your fitness equipment. Turn it back on and select it.
-
If your equipment is compatible with another app using Bluetooth, try using that app to verify the values you receive.
-
It may also be helpful to test with another phone or tablet using the Kinomap app.
3. Your equipment shows as 'Connected' and sends some values:
Depending on the type of equipment, certain values are mandatory, such as power for bikes. If this is the case, please send us a screenshot as requested in the process.
Note: Depending on your situation, could you please send us a screenshot of what you see in this equipment menu, along with any other tests (other applications and/or other devices) you have performed, to support@kinomap.com or in reply to your existing support ticket if you have already created one.

I used the app more than 1 year
And after changing app it’s going worse it’s very long Conection with Bluetooth where I using the same tablet and before I haven’t any problem
Looks like it is a beta version. Got problems off difrent typs. The old was better then this.
I have the same issue as Gorylek. Previously, the app was disconnecting from the bike like every second time in 7 minutes. Now it's disconnecting, restarting and whatnot. Also, reconnecting the device now requires more steps than before. Very inconvenient. I'm considering changing the app.
I have Zipro Rook Gold with iConsole and Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) with the latest updates.
My Reebok FR30 Elliptical Trainer is fully compatiable and connected to Kinomaps with ease on purchase Aug 2023.
Now, Kinomaps has lost the equipment connections and upon reinstall ... will not pass a screen that notes 'Please wait while fetching additional data about the selected equipment'.
All works with Zwift and the Reebok Console App .... what has changed with Kinomaps?
Hi. I have a new Reebok Fr30z. It was sold to me as being compatible with Kinomap. But when I try to connect it I cannot get past the ‘please wait while fetching additional information’ screen. This is very frustrating. Can this treadmill still work with Kinomap?
Hello Don... Are you using an IOS device per chance. All three of my iOS devices stall at the final bluetooth connection screen.... however a borrowed Andriod device did connect.
Hi Chris. Yes IOS devices.
But Kinomap are particularly useless. I opened a ticket via email and have had ZERO response from them.
Hello Don.
I had a response today to my ticket..... so far just to try the default connection advice.
I've made them aware that this may be an iOS issue only.
This could be something that broke on a recent iOS or app update - so hopefully something simple.
I have a brand new JTXFitness treadmill and I am also getting the same message when I try to connect it to Kinomap. I cannot get past the ‘please wait while fetching additional information’ screen. I can connect to zwift using Bluetooth. Feeling very annoyed at the moment, I have also opened a ticket but no response yet
I got my to connect by going through the list of reebok treadmills and selecting the gt40z.
It works fine now. I suggest you try that either with the different iJTK models or just use the one I got to work in reebok. I don’t think the model selection is critical at all. Connected my Wattbike atom using wahoo bike as Wattbike was not listed! And it’s perfect.
Thanks Don using your advice I actually managed to connect to the treadmill using Reebok gtx40 as you suggested (tried loads of others, some work), and I can interact now with the video ie. I start the treadmill and it works in time with the videos but the incline is not working interactively and when I check the ‘equipment added tab, there is a red error message next to the treadmill selected saying ‘data not retrieved! Essential to launch an activity on the application’, still not had anything back from Kinomap support
HI.
My incline does work automatically.
When i start a run video It just tells me "Your equipment is connecting.... Begin running to start the treadmill" at which point i start the treadmill with its go button - not on the screen. And then it works fine!
make sure the route you try has a hill early on to see if it works.
Is there not a JTX machine that gets you beyond that point?
Still nothing from Kinomap.
Hi Don,
No JTXFitness treadmill selection works (waiting for them to get back to me!!) and when i start the video it tells me "Your equipment is connecting.... Begin running to start the treadmill" at which point i start the treadmill with its go button, it all starts except the incline bit😩 tried numerous videos, so annoying
Well it turns out I can add and interactively use the app/treadmill using a friends Samsung. So clearly the problem is linked to Apple, I cannot connect with either my iPhone 14 or my iPad mini 6th generation, not great !
Starting yesterday I am having the same issue with my IPhone. Funny is, that my wife's phone works fine .. so far.
I had this response from Kinomap this morning::
Sorry for the inconvenience. The problem has been confirmed and will be corrected as soon as possible.
I have Saris Fluid2 and Garmin speed sensor and Garmin cadence sensor.
I try to connect both sensors over Bluetooth (Android App), but I could connect only one.
Is there some limit with nuber of devices for connection?
