if you take a look at the compatibility checker, you'll find three different types of equipment:
- Classic : This kind of equipment does not have a Bluetooth module, you'll need to connect an external sensor such as a speed, cadence, or stride sensor.
- Smart : These models have a built-in Bluetooth module and we can get more or less information according to the equipment. We can't control the resistance/incline on this kind of product and so, you'll see instructions on the training screen to set the closest resistance as possible to reproduce the same effort as the contributor.
High end products provide the power whereas mid-range products will only send a raw speed that we compute with the resistance applied to estimate your power.
- Interactive : Here you'll find the most immersive experience in Kinomap. With this kind of product, we can get values, such as a smart equipment so, but we can also control the resistance/incline according to the slope of the video/instructions.
