If you take a look at the compatibility checker, you'll find three different types of equipment:
- Classic: This type of equipment has no Bluetooth module, so you'll need to connect an external sensor such as a speed, cadence, or stride sensor.
- Smart: These models have an integrated Bluetooth module, and we can obtain more or less information depending on the equipment. We can't control resistance/incline on this type of product, so you'll see instructions on the training screen to set the resistance as close as possible to reproduce the same effort as the contributor.
Top-of-the-range products deliver power, while mid-range products only send raw speed, which we calculate with the resistance applied to estimate your power.
- Interactive: Here you'll find the most immersive experience in Kinomap. With this type of product, we can obtain values, like Smart equipment, but we can also control resistance/inclination according to the slope of the video/instructions.
In conclusion, the experience will be more or less immersive and precise depending on the equipment you have, and we'll always make the most of your device's possibilities.

Salve,
Agostino Verde
