Kinomap’s team had the opportunity to be in the room for this extraordinary event. Here are the top 5 determining facts.
6 stages from the official route are available on Kinomap:
For starters, let’s examine the route itself.
Granted that Kinomap hosts more than 106 000 kilometres of videos [with a third of them shot in France], it’s not surprising that a couple of stages of the Tour de France 2018 match the website’s content.
This allows all our app users to train, starting from today, on the roads that will be ridden across by their idols.
So, here are the videos that you can ride from home as if you were one of the contestants:

Cyclists dread the 2018 edition:
In fact, plenty of athletes expressed their worries regarding the route of the Tour de France 2018. As an example, we can quote Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish and Tony Gallopin.
They seem to be worried about the rough cols, the paved Arras-Roubaix route and the lack of space for sprinters.
The Sky team has even published an article regarding the subject. Here is an extract:
“It’s tough. I wouldn’t expect any less from the Tour de France organisers – especially the first nine days.“It’s going to be very nervy and dangerous up in the north west of France before we hit any of the big mountain stages. The wind could be a massive factor up there and with the GC being so close we could see the race torn to pieces.”After a 35-kilometre team time trial on stage three, the race will tackle 22km of cobbles on what is sure to be a pulsating 154km stage nine, finishing in Roubaix.Speaking about the cobbles, Froome continued: “You could see a lot happening that day. Then there’s a stage with a gravel section in it – there’s going to be a lot to get ready for in that sense.”
