On Android 6 and over, Google made a big change when requesting special features like Bluetooth. It now requires the user to give a permission on many items.
In our indoor training apps (KETTMaps, Kinomap, BH by Kinomap, B'TWIN Training), you are asked for:
- access to your camera and files: it's one permission allowing to use the front facing camera to detect your cadence
- access to your location and Bluetooth: it's one permission allowing to use the Bluetooth module to connect to a BT fitness machine
- access to your storage: it's one permission to be able to store your login data and other settings you entered in the app
